We’re back with another Detroit restaurant review! Put San Morello on your list; nestled on the first floor of the Shinola hotel, this one never disappoints.
The decor and swanky energy draw you in from the street through the hotel lobby. Modern, hip decor combines with more traditional materials and textures like marble, tile, leather, and wood to create a stunning restaurant design.
The Italian food speaks for itself; if you have been here, you already know! The pasta is handmade and the pizza is wood-fired. They layer seasonal ingredients into their dishes and each item is truly unforgettable. We ordered a carciofo pizza and the risi e bisi pasta. The pasta was so creamy and cheesy… I dream about this one!
If you’re in the area you definitely need to check this spot out. It is also a great pit-stop for a cocktail at their beautiful bar if you don’t have time for a meal. You won’t regret visiting!
