Hi!!! I was recently browsing for a new dress coat to add to my wardrobe and couldn’t find one anywhere that balanced price and quality. In the past, I have been able to find really good deals on coats without spending an arm and a leg. While dress coats are wardrobe staples and probably warrant a few extra bucks, I wasn’t ready to give in just yet!
Despite being known for more affordable clothing, it seems like Target and Forever 21 have slowly been increasing their prices. I haven’t noticed an increase in quality, so it must be due to rising demand and perfected marketing strategies. Plus, the fit of their clothing is usually a gamble for me.
So I decided to check out Zara, where I purchased my favorite dress coat back in December of 2020. I hit the jackpot! Not only is my exact coat back in stock, it’s also now offered in a ton of other colors!
I love this coat because it’s not SUPER bulky. One of the things I hate the most about winter is layering on a ton of thick pieces until I can barely bend my arms. This one is on the lightweight side but still super warm! It’s especially great to layer on top of a chunky knit sweater.
But be forewarned that it does not have buttons or a zipper. I wouldn’t wear this if you plan to be outside for a long period of time. However, it is great for heading out to dinner, drinks, or a fun holiday event. It looks great with a simple pair of jeans or layered over top of a dress or skirt.
It’s also not lined on the inside, but I really don’t mind since it is only $50! I bought mine in store and they only offered the tan. When I checked this morning, there were SEVEN different colors available! I just checked again and they’re down to 6 available colors, so if you want it, don’t wait to buy! It looks like it’s selling out fast.
