When we first bought & moved into this house last year, this bathroom was the first room we decided to remodel since it was our least favorite aesthetically. The “before” was not our jam; teal walls with tons of acrylic flowers nailed to the wall. Not to mention, the sink drove me nuts. Every time I would wash my face, water would go EVERYWHERE because of the sink design and size.
We didn’t mind the floor/shower tile, and I really like the Whirlpool tub, so we decided to do a mini remodel and only update the walls and vanity. I’ll show some “before” pics below:
The day we closed on the house! And yes, we love that heat lamp and still have it today!
WIP; the flowers had to GO. The sink was also way too small to be functional for us.
The vanity did not have enough storage for all my products (LOL)
The Reveal…
Initially I had planned to paint the walls a light dusty sage green/jade green, but after we bought some and tested it out, I didn’t love it against the tile we were keeping, so we ended up going with a comfortable grey color for the walls.

TBH, I still need to update the hardware on the vanity to something gold rather than silver. It’s one of those things that I look at every day but always forget it needs completed. I would also really love to get rid of the medicine cabinet above the toilet, but I have so much skincare and that’s the best spot for it right now. Our next project is to update one of the spare bedrooms into a closet/office/glam room for me, and when that happens I can move most of my skincare to that room. But for now, this works for us! When the time comes (hopefully first half of 2021), what should I replace the medicine cabinet with? Would love to hear your ideas!
