Hello! I’m typing this from a coffee shop in Downtown Detroit, but what a day it has been already! I woke up today and got my client work out of the way before noon, and then began getting ready to come downtown for a meeting and errands. On my way out, I had a minor car issue (scare), but it ended up all being okay! Then of course there was the hassle of traffic and parking as I made my way into the city. Alas! I made it and now I’m enjoying my well-deserved iced coffee.
Anyway, it’s about that time that I buy some new denim! I view my denim purchases as an investment, rather than an impulse buy. I have plenty of denim that is from fast fashion stores like H&M and Zara, but lately I have really been wanting to only buy pieces that I feel can be worn for years and years. Denim is definitely something that I would spend extra money on if it meant that it will last me until I’m 30 or later, lol.
I haven’t purchased anything new yet, but I’m looking at brands like Agolde, Abercrombie, Rag & Bone, and Levi’s for my next denim purchase. Really leaning towards Abercrombie, just because I have already tried on several pairs in store that were ALMOST right, but they didn’t have exactly what I needed in store. I’m a 24 waist in their jeans, and really love their “Curve Love” line, since it really helps define your waist. They just only had “short” versions of the 24W jeans in stock in-store, and I needed regular.
I will add the denim that I am considering in the “shop it” slider below this post in case you want to browse anything that I also have my eye on!
