Phoenix Travel Summary: What We Ate

May 2, 2021

Sitting here writing this from my brand new backyard patio 😍 I’ve been seeing an overwhelming amount of people I know visit the PHX/Scottsdale area over the last month (at least a dozen!!), so I wanted to create a series to recap my trip experience and give you all the details about where we stayed/things we did in case you’re planning a trip soon too.

Let’s start with my fave part of any trip… the food! If you know of any other AZ hot spots, please drop a comment & let me know! I’m already ready to go back 💛

Postino’s – We just wanted a light lunch before the pool, so Tyler and I split a board of bruschetta and a pitcher of craft beer. They have really great deals and you should definitely go here for a happy hour or a quick lunch!

Diego Pop’s – This one seems like a Scottsdale fave. Tacos & margaritas with a hip restaurant layout/design draws you in from the street. The food was incredible. It seemed to be so busy every time we passed by, but they have a nice outdoor patio where you can sit and enjoy a margarita & chips while you wait for your table to be ready.

Culinary Dropout – Unexpectedly good! Tyler chose this place and I didn’t look at the website before we went, but it ended up being one of my favorite meals of the whole trip. If you like spiked seltzers, I got the “Two to Mango” cocktail… So good that I will have to attempt to make this one at home!

Canal Club – this one is at The Scott resort! We ordered lunch by the pool a couple of times from here, and I definitely will crave the french fries; they have a very unique, buttery taste.

Farm & Craft – This is a cute little spot! We sat at the bar and really enjoyed our time here. The flatbread and apps are very good!

Wild Thaiger – confession; my family members are Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives fanatics. I grew up watching it! So of course we had to visit the Wild Thaiger, which was on the show. The service was really great and I loved the veggie spring rolls & pad thai.

Olive & Ivy – this was the first place we ate when we arrived in Scottsdale and it did not disappoint. We sat outside and ate a salad, sandwich, and fries.
