Happy Tuesday babes! I hope you’re all having a nice week so far. My week has been productive to say the least. We have been debating ways to refresh our downstairs home decor for quite some time now, and this weekend we finally made an impromptu decision to pull the trigger on one of our ideas! See the IG reel I made with the reveal here on my IG page… give me a follow if you like what you see!
Aside from that project, I also placed an H&M order awhile ago and got a romper that inspired this post. I have always loved rompers for their pure effortlessness (aside from trying to use the restroom while wearing them… let’s be real 😂) I love that they don’t require a ton of thought while putting the outfit together, but always look super cute and polished…especially wrap-style ones! Because they’re so easy, I always try to buy ones with some sort of interesting detail. This makes it so easy to throw on, add jewelry and accessories, and head out the door.
However, this one is totally the opposite of all that. It is super basic and almost crosses the line into activewear. I got it because it reminds me of a matching biker short/sports bra combo which I love. I thought I could style it similarly. However once I got it, I realized there are WAY more ways to style it than I originally thought. Below are my favorite 3!
Leather Jacket
I’m so into my new leather blazer! They are the perfect item to help transition from the Summer months to Fall. You can easily take them off when it’s too hot, but they’re perfect to have when it gets chillier in the mornings or evenings. Mine is in a nice chocolate brown shade, and pairs perfectly with this romper. Throw on some sneakers and gold accessories and you’re all set. I wrote a whole post about other ways I style it here.
White Button-Down
A classic white button-down is a must have staple in every closet. Check out my other article on why this needs to be a go-to in your wardrobe as we transition into Fall. When paired with this romper, it feels super casual. It’s perfect for running to the grocery, going for a walk, or tackling errands around town. I threw on my white ball cap (yes, I got it in Margaritaville, LOL) and my belt bag that I wear religiously. This combo will be on repeat for awhile!
Trousers
Okay, I know this outfit pairing doesn’t show off that it is a full romper, but I wanted to show you that it is truly versatile! I wore it similarly to how I would wear a bodysuit here. The material is thin enough (not see-through!) that you’d never know I was wearing a romper with these pants. This would be a great outfit for a casual dinner or even a day in the office if you threw a cardigan or jacket over top.
I’ve linked this romper in the “shop it” slider below this post- you should definitely check it out! Like I said, there are so many other ways you could style it too. Wearing it with tennis shoes and a zip-up hoodie would be great for a walk or workout, pair it with a cardigan for a cozy rainy day inside, or even throw it on with jeans and chunky gold jewelry for a concert or night out. I truly love it! Even if you don’t have this romper I’m sure you could style a matching set of biker shorts and sports bra/tank similarly to these ideas and it would also be so cute! Another alternative is a simple black bodycon dress, which is another staple everyone needs!
