This crave-worthy spot is one of our faves! Located in the heart of Berkley, Michigan, Berkley Common stands out from the surrounding buildings with it’s stark black and white modern exterior design.
You can feel a glimpse of the chill, playful atmosphere before you even step foot inside the doors. They have a portion of the small side road blocked off for their own use, where they keep a generous sized patio space decked out with Tiki-inspired decor in the summer and igloos in the winter.
Their rotating menu typically offers plenty of delicious options ranging from Asian-inspired to Mexican-inspired with an all-American twist. Did I mention the drinks? I don’t think I’ve ever tried a cocktail here that I didn’t love. My favorite is the Nautical Mile, a delicious mix of gin, grapefuit liqueur, and berry simple syrup.
Tyler and I shared the Korean Fried Chicken as an appetizer and oh my! It’s crave-worthy. For entrees we shared the Cali Club and the vegan tacos.
If you ever find yourself in the metro Detroit area, definitely check this place out! I love that it is right next to plenty of local boutiques, so you could easily spend an afternoon exploring this little area.
