Happy almost Friday! Do you want to look like a million bucks?? I’ve cracked the code on looking expensive while wearing mostly affordable clothes, and I’m here to share it with you!
This post just went live on my Instagram. I got so many DMs from people that loved Tofu’s cameo on the third swipe 😂 That was totally unplanned. He was chilling in his crate when Tyler and I got home from shooting this look, and as soon as Tyler set him loose, he came sprinting to greet me, lol. He’s such a happy lil guy.
I have had this coat, sweater, and pants for a minute now, and I have have worn them all countless times. The coat is a great Zara find, and literally goes with everything. The sweater is actually really long in the back. It covers your booty so I frequently throw it on over some soft fleece-lined leggings. And the pants!! They literally feel like sweatpants, lol. It’s hard to tell if these exact pants are still in stock… They have the same pants available, but the color looks different in person from the online listing. Both look super cute though, so I will link the color that is in stock! It could be the same one I have! All of these items (or similar) will be linked in the “shop it” slider below this post.
To elevate these super affordable basics, I added just a couple more luxe pieces. I’m super careful with my money and very rarely purchase impulsively or without ration. And if I ever do, I very quickly get buyer’s remorse and head out to do returns 😂 Anyway, my point is that being smart with money allows me to save to purchase an occasional luxury item. I only purchase luxury pieces that I know I will use for years, and I also do a TON of research before purchasing. I don’t own many, but I do value my luxury pieces a ton. Above all, it feels good to work really hard and save to splurge on something special every now and then.
For this very tonal neutral outfit, I layered on my beige Prada. I love this piece because it is a chain wallet, so it comes with the long cross body chain (as pictured). It also comes with a wrist loop/strap, in case you want to use it more as a wristlet. I don’t like hauling around bulky bags, so this lightweight one is perfect for my lifestyle. It’s just big enough to hold your cards, you phone, and a lip liner or gloss.
I also threw on my Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses, which add a chic touch to the outfit. You probably can’t tell, but these aren’t a true black color. They are a very deep blue-charcoal with gold accents and I’m obsessed with the shape of the frames.
To polish everything off, I layered on my favorite gold jewelry. Most of my jewelry is actually really affordable. I love buying pieces off of Amazon and Etsy. Just be sure to check reviews always!
Layering in just a couple of more high-quality pieces can really elevate your whole look. They don’t have to be luxury/expensive either! Look for pieces that have great quality or that are made from genuine materials. It doesn’t have to break the bank to look expensive!
I SO appreciate your support here on my lil blog. If you have questions, ask away! You can always DM me on Instagram too if ya want ☺️
