Hiiii 💕 Today I had a ton of errands to run outside of the house, so I saw this as the perfect opportunity to throw on my favorite cozy outfit and snap some photos too, to make my day a little more fun.
Lately, I’ve been experimenting with segmenting my week into “glam” days and “potato” days. I saw this idea on TikTok! My full-time job keeps me moving during the week, completing a variety of tasks both online/at home and outside of the home.
Basically, I plan my schedule ahead of time and select 1-2 days a week to wake up, do hair and make up, and leave the house looking like a real human. These are the days that I will take client photography, complete random business admin tasks, run to the post office, pick up supplies, etc. I also build in my personal blog photography into these days too!
Then, every other day of the week is a “potato” day. These are my days to roll out of bed and skip the hair/makeup/outfits. I typically wear a matching sweat set, cozy socks, and a hair claw clip. I go straight into my home office and get to work, knocking out client deliverables and computer work. These are the days that I don’t need to be in front of a camera!
Today was a glam day. Lots of driving around and knocking random things off of my to-do. But I still made it cozy by wearing my favorite flare leggings and cropped vest! If you can’t already tell by my IG pics, I’m really into the cropped puffer styles this season. They are truly so warm and just so much more flattering than a long bulky jacket.
I got the vest a couple of months ago, but it goes in and out of stock! It also comes in a couple of other colors too, and is super affordable.
I think it’s funny that we’re calling these pants “flare leggings” now… if you’re a millennial then you know… these were yoga pants back in the day! In any case, I love that these have a slit and the bottom hem. I think it adds just a touch of chicness to your look.
If you have any questions about my outfit or how I plan out my work weeks, feel free to ask away in my DMs on Instagram!
